Our story
A family engraving shop in Clydebank since 1975
Walters is run by sisters Karen Walters and Christine Allan, who grew up in the business their dad started. Everything is still engraved in our own workshop on Dumbarton Road, and when you call, email or walk in, you speak to the family.

How it started
Hauled into the shop on a Saturday
Our dad started Walters in 1975. Ask Christine how long she's been doing this and she'll tell you: since we were “hauled into the shop on a Saturday by our dad”.
Fifty years on, his daughters run the business, with the third generation, Darren, alongside them. The machines have changed, and the website is new, but the job hasn't: getting someone's name, a club crest or a company logo exactly right on something they'll keep.

In the workshop
Sandblasted, not printed
We sandblast. Each design is cut into a stencil, the stencil goes on the glass, and the glass is blasted, so the engraving is cut into the surface with a frosted finish you can feel. It won't rub off, fade or wash away.

Amazing service and very fast turnaround! I was asked to coordinate a last minute staff member recognition event and thought it would be a nice idea to get an engraved hipflask. Within 24 hours, I was able to collect the item which looked superb. The flask itself was of pewter with a very attractive finish. The engraving itself was very professional. I regularly use Walters for football and bowls trophies. Aways receive an excellent, timely service from Christine and Karen. The quality of the workmanship is high and they are always so friendly and helpful. The shop is also an Alladins Cave of lovely products. Can highly recommend them
